Chief Engineer:
- Co-ordinate
all jobs related to clothing engineering (cutting, sewing, pressing),also all fixed plant (steam boilers, compressors, vacuum units, generators) and
electrician.
- Support
other depts relating to the maintenance of all machinery, fixed plant and maintenance jobs.
Responsibility:
1.
Responsible
for the maintenance of all machines and factory building.
2.
Organize
the job of engineering and maintenance, delegate jobs based on engineers, and
maintenance teams capabilities
3.
Act
as a consultant for engineering and maintenance if the problem cannot be solved
by internal resources.
4.
On
going training for sub-ordinates
5.
Communicate
with all dept. heads regarding engineering jobs and priorities
6.
Responsible for planning and organizing all resources required ie: human resources/skill,
machine, materials and method to back-up engineering jobs
7.
Support
other Dept. on the job related to engineer and maintenance jobs
8.
Construct
and adhere to a weekly/monthly/annual maintenance schedules on machinery and
fixed plant.
